Cognitive Behavioral Therapy

Map and Compass“We can’t solve problems by using the same kind of thinking we used when we created them.”  --Albert Einstein

Thinking about our thinking and how it shapes our lives is not unique to the 21st century. The understanding that what our thoughts are toward ourselves, others, and our situations directly affects those things and the results we experience.

Cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) is a form of therapy that emphasizes the important role of our thoughts and how they direct our feelings and behaviors. CBT is a psychotherapeutic approach to treat a wide range of issues such as depression, anxiety, obsessive compulsive disorder, and phobias. CBT helps clients to not only identify but also change their destructive thought patterns that have influenced their lives in a negative way.
